Malwina Migacz
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Malwina Migacz is a Copenhagen-based visual artist trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Through a post-conceptual practice she examines themes of control, modernity and marginalisation, working from post-Soviet experience and industrial residual materials. Her works circle the man-made systems that capture and control both humans and the other living species on earth. In this discussion she often uses the horse or the wolf as symbols of ultimate freedom, set against human structures and the need for control. Her works move between decay, transformation, and the question of what is considered valuable or unwanted in modern society.
