Cheri Passera
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Cheri Passera (b. 1993) is a Danish visual artist and poet based in Copenhagen. Her practice moves between sculpture, painting and performance, examining mythological structures, ritual and states of transition in a contemporary context. Working from ancient narratives and shared symbols, Passera uses staging and material process to explore how meaning shifts over time. Ceramics play a central role in her practice and are understood as both vessel and body — objects shaped by the tension between control and transformation. Through firing, glazing and material instability, the works often carry traces of unpredictability, with surfaces that may crack, stain or settle into states that oscillate between formation and erosion. By interweaving autobiographical elements with mythological structures, Passera builds a visual language in which the body appears as both relic and projection — at once ancient and contemporary, fragile and self-authored.
