Céline Nordberg

Céline Nordberg (b. 1990, Denmark) is a painter based in Copenhagen. She works primarily in watercolour and oil — materials she chooses for their transparency and their capacity to build an image through translucent layers. Her practice is often informed by states of consciousness such as sleep paralysis and dreaming, where the boundaries between perception, memory and imagination begin to dissolve. In these liminal spaces she finds a language for what usually goes unspoken.
